Reset or remove JSpark

Restore default settings

1. Open Settings → About.
2. Click Restore defaults… under Restore default settings.
3. Click Restore defaults to confirm.

Every setting goes back to its default: the look, the layout, Run as you type, the limits, and the Starters’ order. See the defaults in Settings.

These stay as they are:

• Your open tabs, the Library and installed packages.
• The Working Folder, where it is, with its files.
• The window’s size.

Empty the Working Folder

To delete every file your Snippets wrote, open Settings → About, click Empty… under Working folder, and confirm. This can’t be undone. See The Working Folder.

Remove JSpark

Your work is not kept inside the app itself. It is in JSpark’s data folder, which holds your settings, your open tabs, the Library, installed packages and, unless you moved it, the Working Folder.

1. To keep your Saved Snippets, choose File → Export Library… first. It saves them all to one .json file, in JSpark and JSpark+.
2. Find the data folder. On a Mac it is ~/Library/Application Support/JSpark. If you haven’t moved the Working Folder, Run → Reveal Working Folder opens it: the data folder is the one that holds it.
3. Quit JSpark and delete the app.
4. To remove your work and settings too, delete the data folder, and a Working Folder you moved elsewhere.
