Report a problem

Send a problem report from the Help menu, with the details support needs and none of your code.

On this page

JSpark has no telemetry and no crash reporting. A problem reaches us only as an email you choose to send, to support@jspark.app.

Send a problem report

  1. Choose Help → Report a Problem….
  2. Your mail app opens a new email to support, with the subject JSpark problem report.
  3. Under What happened, and what did you expect?, describe the problem. If a Snippet shows it, paste the code yourself.
  4. Send the email. Nothing is sent until you send it.

At the end of the email, under a line, are the diagnostics. They are eight lines like these (the values are an example):

JSpark 1.0.0 (built 2026-10-01)
Edition: JSpark
Node: 24.21.0
Chromium: 152.0.7977.130
V8: 15.2.124.28
System: macOS 15.3.1
Architecture: arm64
Last update check: never

They say which JSpark you have, which Edition, what your code runs on, your system and its version, and when JSpark last checked for an update. They never hold your code, your files, your settings or where they are. A path under your home folder is written with ~ in its place.

Copy Diagnostics

To send the same lines another way, such as in a message or a form:

  1. Open Settings → About (⌘, or Ctrl+,).
  2. Click Copy Diagnostics. It reads Copied for a moment.
  3. Paste the lines where you need them.
Copy Diagnostics puts the same eight lines on the clipboard.

If JSpark will not open at all, see JSpark will not open.

The pictures show JSpark on a Mac. On Windows, the window looks a little different and uses Ctrl for ⌘, but everything works the same way.
